What Others have said about my teaching
Dear Ms. Wisnor:
I am one of your student’s mothers.
You never know your departure has been such a loss to him. The
day you left he cried the whole afternoon. He said he never met such a kind teacher as you.
I guess you must have really treated him nicely. You worked magic on him!
As a parent, I really appreciate all that you have done to him.
I think you will continue to be a source of encouragement to him in his life!
And you will be an excellent teacher in the future!
In a letter from a parent of an ESL student following student teaching at Crim Elementary in Bowling Green, Ohio (2/20/14)

-Wonderful and instinctive use of body language (especially facial expression) to communicate with, engage, and manage students
-Nice hand-raising management strategy and good job using it consistently
-Great job incorporating “Can you…?” statements
-Excellent job attending to the classroom community, relationships, and socio-emotional skills when you used “Are we happy for our friends?”
as response to a few students’ disappointment at not being chosen as a volunteer.
-Building/elevator activity well-designed, especially in taking the time to use students’ photos, which increases engagement by giving everyone
a personal stake in the activity.
-Great almost silent transition from floor to workbooks at desks—nicely done!

"When I watch Breanna teach I see relentless optimism and strong focus. She never lets
a behavior problem obstruct others learning and always reinforces her classroom
rules with positive rewards. Anyone watching Breanna can tell she is fully
dedicated to a profession she truly loves. She focuses all her efforts on the
main task at hand, which is always doing what is best for the students to be
successful."

Messages from parents...
Hello Ms Wisnor. I just want to let you know how much I appreciate you and how fortunate I feel my daughter is to have you this year. My children are 18, 11, and 8 and you are the best we've had. You are so involved and on top of everything with your class. I really want to thank you for everything you do and for treating her as an individual. Also, for the extra time you give her when she needs it. Thank you again!
My son, who came into your classroom this year hardly knowing how to read not only excelled in reading throughout the year because of your patience, love and dedication. But, we just went through the 3rd grade sight words, all 4 quarters worth that I made into flashcards and he can read them without hesitation. You Miss Wisnor did that. And I will forever be grateful that God brought you to us.
Thank you for being a good listener. While at this age, telling tattles is unavoidable, I always appreciate a person who is willing to listen to the children and investigate.
You are just the sweetest and I'm glad he has you! I know it's hard to watch them all. You are a saint that's for sure! Thanks so much, you are the best!
My son absolutely loves you! He hasn't asked once to stay home, and even wants to go to school on the weekends!
That is FABULOUS news!!! I am so proud of him. Thank you both for everything you have been doing with him, I don't know what we would do without you and your dedication. I can't wait to share this with my son and his dad. Fingers crossed he continues to stay on the right path.
It is an absolute pleasure and blessing to have you in our lives.
We are thankful for you as well! Thanks for being such a great teacher.
Very thankful to have a caring teacher to help my son as much as you are!
Compliments from Kids...
“You are always happy in the morning and it makes me feel happy too.”
“You are always there to greet us at the door.”
“You teach us how to be peaceful kids.”
“You make me feel like I belong here.”
“You never make me mad.”
“You make learning fun!”
