7. Daily engagement activities to begin each lesson such as paper-cutting and other logic and reasoning-based questions.
8. The appropriate use of manipulatives and tools.
9. Frequent use of organized, learning centers.
10. Appropriate time for all students to make sense of problems and persevere at solving them.
